Based in Maryland, Shabnaz Taherkhani serves as an Associate in Cardiology and Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Springs. A native of Iran, Taherkhani has pursued a number of professional interests since immigrating to the United States.
Outside of her medical career, Shabnaz Taherkhani has also worked as a makeup artist. A competitive and challenging field, professional makeup artists work on film and television sets to provide actors with the look necessary for their roles. In addition, makeup artists must be present for touch-ups at live events such as event promotions and retail engagements. As a makeup artist, Taherkhani has worked with directors and actors to develop effective makeup solutions. She also conducts her own research ahead of time.
A Reiki Master and hatha yoga instructor, Shabnaz Taherkhani is currently writing a book on her experiences in the disciplines. An advocate of alternative medicine, she performs natural reiki natrual healing procedures and teaches others how to acquire expertise. Through her yoga and reiki work, she focuses on natural healing and the transfer of energy to others. Shabnaz Taherkhani has since gone on to teach in both disciplines and possesses more than a decade of experience as a yoga instructor. She has also studied yoga in India, where she earned certification in hatha yoga. Shabnaz Taherkhani also teaches meditation.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Shabnaz Taherkhani enjoys reading. Her favorite authors include Paulo Coelho and Deepak Chopra. Shabnaz Taherkhani graduated from Montgomery College and Maryland University.
